Slewing Drive Working Principle
The power source, such as an electric motor, drives the pinion gear. As the pinion gear rotates, it engages with the large gear, causing the large gear to turn. The attached load, which is connected to the large gear or the housing of the slew drive, then rotates along with the large gear. The speed and torque of the rotational motion can be adjusted by changing the gear ratio between the pinion and the large gear, as well as by controlling the power output of the driving motor.
