Rotary bearing is a kind of super-large bearing which can bear comprehensive load. It is also called rotary bearing because its shape is similar to plate. It can bear large axial load, radial load and overturning moment. It can replace the function of several common bearing combinations. Generally, it is a kind of combined bearing with high efficiency and good load-carrying capacity, which is suitable for the mechanical equipment which bears huge overturning moment and makes relative rotation motion. So, because of the special nature of the slewing bearing itself and other reasons, therefore, to a greater extent, the slewing bearing has been applied in many fields, and the slewing bearing assembly, not the profession's view, should be a name for some people according to many parts have assembly.
Slewing bearings have many different characteristics:
1. The size of slewing bearings is large. The diameter of slewing bearings is usually 0.2 to 10 meters, and some of them are larger than 40 meters.
2. Rotary bearings generally bear several kinds of loads, not only axial and radial forces, but also large overturning moment. Therefore, a set of rotary bearings often play the role of several sets of ordinary bearings.
3. Rotary speed of slewing support is very low, usually 50 revolutions per minute. In many cases, the slewing bearing does not operate continuously, but only rotates back and forth in the angle, which is equivalent to the so-called swing bearing.
4. In terms of material and heat treatment technology, there are also great differences between rotary bearings and rolling bearings.
5. Usually, the revolving support is equipped with a gear ring for rotary drive and a sealing device for dust prevention.
6. Installation methods are different. Rotary bearings are not sleeved on the mandrel and installed in the bearing box like ordinary bearings. Instead, they are fixed on the upper and lower supports by screw.
